Quality Assurance & Quality Control Procedures
Abdul Majeed & Co. has established, documented and implemented a quality management system covering the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. It also
maintains a laboratory having necessary equipment and continually improves
the quality management system in the light of these two standards. In order to
implement the requirements of the standards stipulated above, the company
has a structured system for:
- Identifying the processes needed for QMS (Quality Management System)
- Determination of interaction of these processes.
- Determination of criteria and method required to ensure the effective
operation and control of these processes.
- Ensuring the availability of information necessary to support the operation
and monitoring of these processes.
- Measuring, monitoring and analyzing these processes.
- Implementing actions necessary to achieve the planned results and
continual improvement.
Abdul Majeed & Co. has prepared its QMS documentation which includes: -
- Policy: The main guiding principle.
- Objectives: These objectives are defined as measurable terms and are the
interpretation of the policy. These are revised in the management review
meetings for its continuous suitability and alignment with the organizational
goals.
- Manual: Manual is the top level policy document outlining the structure
and general principles of the quality management system approved by the
management.
- Procedures: Quality procedures are prepared by the concerned
representatives, reviewed by the department head and finally approved by the
M.D. The Quality system procedures serve as an operational
departmental
guideline for
concerned departmental staff to ensure that operations are carried out in a
controlled and systematic manner as per the quality system requirements.
Copies of the QMS procedures are distributed to all concerned.
- Work instructions: These certain instructions for individuals to perform
routine tasks or specific functions.
- Plans: These are drawings that describe detailed operations or processes to
be carried out.
- Documents of External Origin: These include the documents that are not
created by Abdul Majeed & Co. but they apply to various aspects of the project.
These may include the following: -

b. Specifications
c. Laws and Regulations
- Templates/Records: These include templates and documents required to
record the measurements of the completed work.
